The African Diaspora Development Institute (ADDI)’s mandate is to mobilize African Diaspora around the world to participate in the development of Africa. Our role is to create an environment that is conducive for the African Diaspora and friends of Africa to participate in the development of Africa. ADDI, therefore, facilitates member participation in development opportunities in Africa.
ADDI will identify potential projects and avail this information to the African Diaspora who otherwise would not have any means of accessing such information. Emphasis will be placed on projects that support the African Union Agenda 2063 and the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA) implementation. In addition, ADDI will engage in the education of the African Diaspora on the history of Africa as a way of promoting unity among all people of African descent around the world. ADDI will also engage in research activities that will facilitate engagement and collaboration between African Diaspora around the world and Africans on the Continent. Currently ADDI is being invited to bring African Diaspora to several African countries where Heads of State are looking to the expertise and financial resources the African Diaspora and friends of Africa could bring to their countries.
The ADDI board has agreed on fund raising $1 Million. These funds are needed in order to support the various projects that the ADDI board has identified. The funds raised will cover start-up costs, travel and lodging expenses for the Diaspora specialists who will travel to Africa to research and evaluate possible opportunities for the Diaspora to participate in. Implementation of and participation in these programs will be handled by private entities created by the Diaspora outside of ADDI. In addition to education, research and development work, these funds will also be applied to humanitarian projects ADDI is involved in which are listed below:
- Women Empowerment
- Youth Empowerment
- Legacy Project
- African Youth Mentorship Program
- Wakanda Smart Cities
Priority Areas are:
- Healthcare
- Education/Trainng/Skills Transfer
- Agriculture (Food Security and Food Sufficiency)
- Access to Power
The ADDI Board will oversee the recommendations from the African Diaspora Project Development Team which will be made up of individuals with a minimum of ten years’ experience in project and investment management.
ADDI’s role is to be the bridge between the African Diaspora and Africa. For private sector opportunities, as a 501(c)3 entity, ADDI’s role ends with paving the way and opening the doors to the investment opportunities in Africa, to the African Diaspora. The Diaspora and friends of Africa will be responsible for managing these entities outside ADDI together with their brothers and sisters on the Continent. The hope is to ultimately end up with a strong African private sector which will be made up of African Diaspora businesses and professionals together with African businesses and professionals on the African Continent. The role of ADDI is to encourage collaboration, in so doing reverse the brain drain.
Humanitarian projects will be managed by the African Diaspora through ADDI. The ADDI board will be responsible for facilitating the Diaspora engagement with Africa.
For far too long, we the African Diaspora have been disconnected. This movement is calling for us to unite. The African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA) is our only hope to gain true economic liberation. We must not allow this opportunity to pass us by. Remember, no money, no voice. A million dollars will pave the way for us to go home. This is an investment in not only ourselves but also our children and generations to come. Mother Africa is calling. Please answer this call.
DONATE TO ADDI
A thousand of us donating a thousand dollars is a million dollars or ten thousand of us donating $100.00 is also a million dollars. A million dollars will go a long way in unlocking the doors to many opportunities in Africa for the African Diaspora and friends of Africa to reconnect with our Motherland. The building of a sustainable Africa is also our responsibility. These funds will pave the way for us to participate in the building of the Africa we want.
Give what you can. We owe it to our children, grandchildren and generations to come. Mother Africa is calling. We hope you will answer the call.
DONATE!
Thank you
The ADDI Team
