By September, 1945 WWII was over. Germany and Japan’s economies were decimated. In 1958, 13 years after WWII, Germany and Japan’s economies were in the top 10 world economies. In 1973 Germany and Japan were in the top 5 GDP’s of the world. Some call it astounding. I characterize it as manufacturing and strategic investments. Similarly with China, in 1995 it had the 8th largest GDP but today it is #2. China has displaced the US as the manufacturer for the world.

In my humble opinion, we need to develop a manufacturing ecosystem that produces more than drama. I would enjoy discussing manufacturing with any of you interested in elevating our people. I, Lloyd Wynn, can be reached at: lloydw@colbysolar.com
